As the M&E Manager, you will take full ownership of mechanical and electrical services across multiple residential, commercial, and healthcare builds, ensuring seamless integration with architectural and structural elements from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Based out of Dublin, this role is ideal for someone who combines technical acumen with strong project coordination skills and a results-oriented mindset.

You will play a critical role in shaping how services are delivered, driving quality, safety, and programme adherence across all M&E elements. The successful candidate will be supported by an experienced delivery team and will work closely with design consultants, subcontractors, and senior project stakeholders.

M&E Manager Skills:  
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in an M&E Manager or Coordinator role within main contractor or M&E specialist subcontractor environments.
  • Demonstrable project delivery experience across residential, commercial, and healthcare builds in Ireland or the UK.
  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical systems design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Previous experience with BCAR processes, BIM coordination, and MEP integration is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, medical systems, and building management systems (BMS).
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed M&E drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM platforms.
  • Degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Chartered or working toward chartership (e.g. Engineers Ireland, CIBSE) is an advantage.
  • Valid Irish driving licence.

As a M&E Manager:  
  • Manage the full M&E project lifecycle from pre-construction design reviews to final commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical services across apartment developments, office blocks, and healthcare facilities, ensuring they meet technical, budgetary, and programme objectives.
  • Review and validate M&E design documentation in coordination with consultants, architects, and specialist subcontractors.
  • Provide leadership in value engineering, system selection, and buildability assessments, particularly for complex building services such as hospital systems (e.g. medical gases, infection control ventilation) and smart building tech in commercial offices.
  • Lead and coordinate on-site M&E works, ensuring integration with structural and architectural elements.
  • Manage and monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to programme, quality, and safety.
  • Oversee and document system testing, commissioning, and handover protocols, particularly for critical environments (e.g. hospital operating theatres or data rooms).
  • Liaise with facilities teams, ensuring operational training and technical documentation are in place.
  • Ensure all works comply with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, HSE legislation, and internal quality systems.
  • Proactively lead H&S inspections, audits, and M&E risk assessments.
  • Work closely with the commercial and project management teams to monitor budget, manage variations, and contribute to the overall programme tracking of M&E elements.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €85,000 plus package.
