The Role – Project Manager As Project Manager, you’ll take the lead on a major roadworks infrastructure project in Cork. You’ll oversee delivery from design through to completion, ensuring the project is executed safely, efficiently, and in line with cost and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the successful delivery of the project
- Review and manage project costs, budgets, and completion forecasts.
- Liaise with clients, design teams, and third-party stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery.
- Review and provide input on design drawings, briefs, and environmental documentation.
- Lead a skilled project team with clear communication, motivation, and accountability.
- Prepare regular project status reports, identifying progress and required actions.
- Support value engineering and technical innovation for improved design and construction efficiency.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal resources to maintain programme and budget.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and performance across all sites.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years’ experience in project management within roadworks, civils or utilities.
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills with a hands-on approach.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project interfaces.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to view projects through a financial lens.
- Full, clean driving licence essential.
- Confident communicator with excellent report writing and presentation skills.
