Mechanical Contracts Manager – Large-Scale Mechanical Projects

Your new company is a well-established mechanical contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across the commercial, pharmaceutical, data centre, and industrial sectors.

Due to continued growth and a secured pipeline of work, they are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to lead the successful delivery of a large-scale project in South Dublin.

This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Construction Director, where you will take responsibility for programme, cost control, subcontractor performance, and stakeholder management from pre-construction through to final handover.

Mechanical Contracts Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement detailed project cost plans, budgets, and cashflow forecasts
• Lead and manage multiple project teams to ensure contracts are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed margins
• Act as the primary point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors
• Oversee and assess subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, safety, and programme requirements are met
• Ensure full compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures across all sites
• Support the Project Quantity Surveyor with the management of costs, variations, and commercial reporting
• Identify programme risks early and work proactively with design teams to mitigate delays and delivery issues
• Maintain accurate planning and scheduling information aligned with key project milestones
• Develop and manage procurement schedules to ensure materials and equipment are delivered in line with programme requirements
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders to support successful project outcomes

Mechanical Contracts Manager Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
• Typically 10 years’ experience within construction or mechanical contracting environments
• Proven track record managing multiple mechanical projects concurrently
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing costs, variations, and risk
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and project reporting tools
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Highly motivated, organised, and capable of leading project teams in demanding environments

The Package:

Salary will be DOE but you can expect at least €95,000 plus package.
