The Company

This Irish main contractor has a strong track record delivering education, commercial and public sector construction projects across Dublin and the wider Leinster region.

Known for well-run sites, strong project teams and a practical approach to programme, quality and delivery, they are now appointing an experienced Project Manager for a school extension project in South Dublin, Co Dublin.

The Role: Project Manager

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of a school extension project in South Dublin, coordinating closely with the site, engineering, design and commercial teams.

You will oversee programme delivery, subcontractor coordination, quality, health and safety and client communication, ensuring the project progresses efficiently through to completion.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have proven experience as a Project Manager on building projects in Ireland
• Experience with a main contractor in Ireland is required
• Strong experience managing subcontractors, programme and quality on live construction projects
• Must have a strong understanding of health and safety and project delivery requirements

Preferred Experience

• Education or school construction experience preferred
• Experience delivering extension, refurbishment or public sector building projects beneficial
• Strong client and design team communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the school extension project
• Manage programme, site progress and key project milestone
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are completed in the correct sequence
• Work closely with the Site Manager, engineers, design team and commercial team
• Maintain high standards of quality and ensure works meet drawings and specifications
• Monitor health and safety across the project
• Manage project reporting, meetings and communication with the wider project team
• Identify programme risks and resolve site issues before they impact delivery
• Maintain strong communication with the client and project stakeholders

About You

You will be an experienced Project Manager with a strong background delivering building projects with an Irish main contractor.

You should be confident managing programme, subcontractors, quality and site teams while maintaining a practical, hands-on approach to project delivery. Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail are important for this role.
