The Role Project Manager
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects from early design coordination through construction and commissioning. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across mechanical and electrical packages, ensuring safety, quality, commercial control and programme certainty at every stage.
This is a senior leadership role with direct impact on client relationships, project performance and long term business growth within the Irish water infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects in Dublin and surrounding areas
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme milestones, budget targets and client specifications
• Oversee mechanical and electrical design coordination from concept through to installation and commissioning
• Manage subcontractors, specialist suppliers and site teams to ensure safe and efficient project execution
• Maintain strict health and safety standards in line with Irish legislation and company policy
• Monitor commercial performance, manage variations and support cost reporting
• Chair progress meetings and act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Ensure high standards of quality control, testing and commissioning across all project phases
• Drive continuous improvement and support strong client satisfaction on framework projects
About You
• Degree or Higher National qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience as a Project Manager within water, wastewater or utilities infrastructure
• Strong background in mechanical and electrical project delivery, ideally on treatment plants or pumping stations
• Demonstrated ability to manage programme, budgets and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and construction best practice in Ireland
• Commercially aware with experience managing contracts and variations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and site teams
• Full driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
