The Role Mechanical Project Engineer
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of mechanical building services installations on a major Galway based construction project. Working closely with the Mechanical Project Manager and wider site team, you will play a key role in coordinating mechanical systems, ensuring installations meet design specifications, programme milestones and quality standards.
This position suits a Mechanical Engineer or Building Services Engineer who enjoys working on large scale construction projects and wants to develop their career within a leading mechanical and electrical contractor delivering high profile projects across Ireland.

The Role Mechanical Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Mechanical Project Manager in the delivery of mechanical building services works on site
- Coordinate mechanical installations in line with project drawings, specifications and programme requirements
- Manage QA and QC procedures including inspection records, reports and documentation
- Review and coordinate technical drawings and ensure accurate installation of mechanical systems
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and site supervisors to ensure efficient project delivery
- Assist with weekly progress reporting and technical updates to project management teams
- Ensure all mechanical works comply with site health and safety procedures and company standards
- Manage document control, ensuring drawings, logs and reports remain accurate and up to date
- Support the preparation of commissioning documentation, test packs and handover documentation
- Identify technical issues on site and assist with troubleshooting and resolution
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working as a Mechanical Project Engineer or Mechanical Site Engineer on construction projects
- Background in mechanical building services, HVAC or MEP installations
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and site installation teams
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and programme delivery
- Motivated engineer looking to develop within a leading building services contractor
