Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of complex civils and MEICA projects within the water sector across the East region of Ireland.

 This role involves managing contracts from early pre-construction planning through to commissioning and operational handover, ensuring that all project requirements are met safely, efficiently and within budget.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients and consultants, and drive performance across design, construction and commercial functions.

Project Manager Skills:

• Strong technical background in water or wastewater infrastructure delivery
• Experience managing civils, mechanical, electrical and ICA activities within multidisciplinary project teams
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of managing internal teams and subcontractors
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets, cost forecasts and contract performance
• Ability to plan, schedule and monitor project progress using project management tools
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve commercial, technical and delivery challenges
• Ability to maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and design partners
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project scheduling software
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in water and wastewater contracting, including design and site supervision
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, MEICA systems and civil infrastructure
• Proven track record delivering multiple infrastructure projects
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Chartered Engineer status is an advantage but not essential
• Strong contract knowledge with experience in design-and-build environments
• Competent with Microsoft Project and other planning tools
• Full clean Irish/EU/UK licence and authorisation to work in Ireland 

As a Project Manager:

• Manage design-and-build and build-only contracts across water and wastewater projects in the East region
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, ICA, H&S and BIM personnel
• Oversee design coordination, technical reviews and project control processes
• Maintain strong client relationships from project commencement through close-out
• Support senior management in achieving project performance targets and contract objectives
• Address and resolve scope, schedule, performance and cost issues proactively
• Develop and update project programmes and resource schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones
• Drive consistent implementation of health, safety, quality and environmental standards across all sites
• Prepare accurate progress reports, commercial updates and status summaries for clients and internal management
• Ensure that all project objectives are met, including quality control, risk management, programme delivery and profitability

The Package: Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of €80,000–€95,000 plus package, depending on experience.
