You are an experienced Project Planner looking to join a leading mechanical and process engineering contractor based in Dublin. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented planning professional who can drive project performance, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver accurate schedule reporting across complex engineering and construction projects.

Project Planner Skills:
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a planning role within construction, M&E contracting, or engineering.
  • Experience working on large-scale Irish projects, ideally in mechanical, process, industrial, or commercial sectors.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (preferred) and/or MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, M&E activities, and multidisciplinary project delivery.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex project data.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

As a Project Planner:
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project programmes from tender through to project handover.
  • Build detailed construction schedules using industry-standard planning software (Primavera P6 and/or MS Project).
  • Identify critical paths, constraints, and sequencing to optimise project delivery.
  • Prepare baseline schedules and ensure they reflect project scope, contractual requirements, and resource availability.
  • Track progress against the baseline schedule, identifying variances and providing clear corrective-action recommendations.
  • Produce weekly and monthly project planning reports, dashboards, and KPIs for senior management and clients.
  • Support project teams in developing look-ahead schedules and short-term planning strategies.
  • Participate in internal and external progress meetings, providing detailed schedule insights.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, commercial teams, and site managers.
  • Review subcontractor schedules for alignment with project requirements.
  • Ensure all planning information is integrated, accurate, and communicated clearly to stakeholders.
  • Assist in risk identification, mitigation planning, and development of recovery schedules where required.
  • Develop tender-stage schedules and planning deliverables.
  • Provide planning input to technical submissions, methodology statements, and project execution strategies.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €75,000 plus package.
