With a significant live project at Dublin Airport, Co Dublin, they are seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team and support the successful financial delivery of this high-profile development.
The Role: Project Quantity Surveyor
Based on a live construction project at Dublin Airport, Co Dublin, you will play a key role in the commercial management of the project from procurement through to final account.
Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager, site team, and subcontractors, you will ensure effective cost control, contract administration, valuation management, and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor looking to gain experience on a complex, high-profile aviation construction project while progressing within a well-established main contractor environment.
Must Have Requirements:
• Must have a Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Proven experience required as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or large subcontractor
• Experience managing subcontractor packages, valuations, and cost reporting
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial administration
• Experience working on Irish construction projects is required
Preferred Experience:
• Aviation, commercial, infrastructure, or large-scale building project experience
• Experience using modern commercial management systems
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Experience assisting with final account negotiations
Nice to Have
• Membership of SCSI or RICS
• NEC or Public Works Contract experience
• Experience on live operational environments
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage project costs and maintain accurate commercial reporting
• Prepare interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages
• Monitor project budgets and identify commercial risks
• Assist with forecasting, cash flow reporting, and cost planning
• Review subcontractor applications and payment recommendations
• Liaise with project management and site teams regarding commercial performance
• Support contract administration and change management processes
• Ensure accurate records are maintained throughout project delivery
• Contribute to successful commercial outcomes and programme delivery
About You:
You will be a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with strong attention to detail and a practical understanding of project delivery. You should be comfortable working closely with operational teams on a live construction project and capable of managing multiple commercial responsibilities simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, negotiation ability, and the confidence to work with clients, subcontractors, and senior management are essential. Experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor on building, infrastructure, aviation, or commercial projects will be highly advantageous.
