The Role – Project Quantity Surveyor
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of a large scale residential development in Galway. Working closely with the commercial manager and project delivery team, you will ensure the project is delivered within budget while maintaining strong cost control and commercial reporting throughout the construction programme.
This is a high visibility role within the project team where your commercial expertise will directly support successful project delivery and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage project budgets, cost reporting and commercial forecasting throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare and submit interim valuations and applications for payment
• Monitor project costs and identify potential cost risks or opportunities
• Procure subcontractors and manage subcontractor accounts
• Assess and manage variations, change orders and cost impacts
• Support the preparation and negotiation of final accounts
• Work closely with site management teams to maintain programme and cost alignment
• Ensure accurate commercial reporting and documentation is maintained
About You:
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
• 4 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or developer
• Strong experience on residential or large scale construction projects
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Strong negotiation, communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team environment
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
