The Company

This specialist European main contractor delivers large scale data centre and mission critical projects across the Nordic region and mainland Europe.

With a strong pipeline of major data centre developments, they are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join the project team in Helsinki, Finland. This is a senior quality position with responsibility across CSA, mechanical and electrical works from construction through commissioning and final handover.

The Role: Quality Assurance Manager

As Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead project quality activities and take responsibility for implementing and maintaining the project specific Quality Plan and Integrated Management System.

Working closely with project management, construction, commissioning, subcontractors and client representatives, you will ensure works meet project specifications, regulatory requirements and required quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Management, QA/QC Management or similar construction quality role
• Proven experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial, mission critical or large scale commercial projects required
• Strong knowledge of CSA, mechanical and electrical construction processes required
• Hands on experience managing quality through construction, commissioning and project handover

Preferred Experience

• Data centre construction experience strongly preferred
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification desirable
• Autodesk BIM 360, ACC, Procore or similar digital quality management platform experience beneficial
• Relevant Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services or trade qualification

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and management of project specific Quality Plans
• Ensure project delivery complies with the Integrated Management System and required quality standards
• Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans, quality procedures and inspection programmes
• Plan and carry out quality audits, inspections and surveillance activities
• Manage subcontractor quality systems and drive performance across the project
• Review quality documentation, inspection reports, test records and turnover packages
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions and preventative actions through to close out
• Coordinate with client quality representatives, consultants and project stakeholders
• Support construction, commissioning and handover teams with complete and accurate quality records
• Drive continuous improvement and a right first time approach across the project
• Manage and support site based quality personnel
• Produce quality performance reports and communicate key metrics to project leadership

About You

You will be an experienced Quality Assurance Manager, QA/QC Manager or senior construction quality professional with a strong background on technically demanding projects.

You should have a practical understanding of CSA, mechanical and electrical works and be comfortable managing quality from construction through commissioning and final handover.

Strong leadership and client communication skills are important, along with the ability to manage subcontractor quality performance and maintain accurate documentation across a major data centre project.
