The Role – Quality Control Engineer QC Turnover Lead
As QC Turnover Lead, you will take ownership of quality control and system turnover on a major data centre project in Milan. This is a senior level quality role with responsibility for driving inspection, test pack management, weld traceability and commissioning readiness across mission critical systems.
You will work closely with planning, engineering, commissioning and construction teams to ensure that all systems are delivered right first time. Your focus will be on quality assurance, documentation control, walkdowns, snags and system handover, ensuring a seamless transition from construction to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead quality control and turnover processes on a large scale data centre project
• Develop, manage and monitor ITPs, inspection checklists and approval workflows
• Coordinate test pack development including system limits, boundaries and content
• Manage weld traceability, weld logs, qualifications, heat maps and NDT documentation
• Plan and execute W1, W2 and W3 walkdowns including third party and pre test inspections
• Track and close out snags while maintaining full data integrity across digital platforms
• Collaborate with BIM teams to ensure alignment between digital models and site installation
• Implement and manage equipment tagging and QR code tracking systems
• Monitor instrument and equipment calibration records
• Support commissioning teams on L3 to L5 commissioning schedules
• Maintain quality documentation within BIM 360 and digital QA systems
• Complete root cause analysis and verify corrective actions
• Develop and compile BCAR, LEED and BREEAM documentation and certification
• Monitor KPIs and supply chain quality performance on mission critical packages
About You
• Proven experience as a Quality Control Engineer or QC Turnover Lead on large industrial or data centre construction projects
• Strong understanding of mission critical MEP systems and commissioning processes
• Ability to interpret P and IDs, SLDs, schematics and technical drawings
• Experience managing test packs, system turnover documentation and walkdowns
• Knowledge of weld traceability, NDT reviews and QA documentation control
• Confident communicator capable of working across engineering, commissioning and client teams
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple systems and deadlines simultaneously
• Detail driven with a strong focus on delivering zero defect handover
• Strong reporting capability with experience using digital QA platforms and Power BI desirable

Salary: €75,000 - €85,000 plus excellent package depending on experience
