Quantity Surveyor – Process & Industrial Piping Projects 

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in process and industrial piping to lead the commercial delivery of complex mechanical projects based out of Co. Mayo.

This role will suit a commercially driven QS who understands heavy mechanical installation environments, including carbon steel and stainless steel pipework, process plant, pressure systems and associated mechanical services.

You will take full ownership of project commercial performance, working closely with project managers, engineers and site teams across industrial and process-driven projects.

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline
• Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor within mechanical, industrial or process engineering environments
• Excellent technical understanding of industrial pipework systems including carbon steel, stainless steel and high-pressure process piping
• Experience working on industrial plants, process facilities, pharmaceutical, food, manufacturing or energy projects
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, cost control, valuations, variations and final accounts
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor procurement, commercial negotiations and contract administration
• High level of commercial awareness with the ability to identify and mitigate project risk
• Strong analytical, negotiation and reporting skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and wider MS Office suite
• Full clean Irish driving licence and ability to be based from Co. Mayo

As a Quantity Surveyor:

• Lead the commercial management of process and industrial piping projects from pre-construction through to final account
• Prepare and manage detailed cost plans, budgets and cashflow forecasts
• Measure, value and commercially manage complex pipework, mechanical and process installations
• Administer subcontractor procurement, accounts, variations and performance
• Prepare interim valuations, cost reports and commercial forecasts for management review
• Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to monitor labour productivity, material costs and job performance
• Identify commercial risks, scope changes and value engineering opportunities
• Support contract administration and maintain accurate commercial records
• Provide commercial leadership across multiple projects and support junior QS staff where required
• Liaise with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure commercial objectives are achieved

The Package: Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €75,000 plus package.
