The Company
This leading Tier 1 main contractor has a strong track record delivering major construction projects across Ireland, including large-scale commercial, industrial, residential, pharmaceutical, fit-out and refurbishment developments.
With a major pharmaceutical facility expansion underway in Athlone, Co. Westmeath, they are now looking to strengthen the site management team with an experienced Section Manager.
The Role: Section Manager
As Section Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of your section of the project.
You will manage subcontractors, forepersons and site teams while coordinating health & safety, quality, logistics, programme, labour, plant and resources.
Working closely with the Project Manager, you will ensure construction activities and finishing trades are properly sequenced to maintain programme, maximise quality and minimise rework.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced construction professional with a strong background in site management and the ability to take ownership of a significant section of works.

You will be organised, delivery-focused and capable of working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to keep works progressing safely and efficiently.

Must Have Requirements
- 7+ years’ site management experience
- Previous experience as a Section Manager, Site Manager or similar construction management role
- Experience across commercial, industrial, residential, fit-out or refurbishment construction
- Strong subcontractor and site team management experience
- Good knowledge of construction programmes, sequencing, HSEQ and quality control
- Pharmaceutical, life sciences or industrial project experience beneficial
- Tier 1 or established main contractor experience preferred
- Experience managing significant sections or packages on large construction projects beneficial
- Strong site logistics and trade coordination experience
- Manage subcontractors, forepersons and site teams across your section of works
- Coordinate construction activities in line with the overall project programme
- Manage HSEQ requirements and ensure company procedures are maintained
- Oversee quality control and ensure works meet drawings and specifications
- Coordinate site logistics, deliveries and traffic management
- Plan and sequence trades to maximise productivity and minimise rework
- Monitor labour, plant, resources and site overheads
- Work closely with the Project Manager and wider construction team to achieve production targets
You will be an experienced construction professional with a strong background in site management and the ability to take ownership of a significant section of works.
