Senior Estimator Skills:
- A degree in a construction related field (Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Technology)
- 6+ Years’ experience in a similar role i.e. Estimating or Quantity Surveying role
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, ideally have a Working knowledge of Conquest, Cubit, Buildsoft, Costx
- Must have strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Demonstrate excellent budgetary responsibility.
- Knowledge of the latest construction technology processes, materials and costs.
- Ability to work well under pressure, adhering to strict deadline environments.
- Career driven, ambitious and enthusiastic.
As Senior Estimator: Your responsibilities will include:
- Issue sub-contract and material enquiries, including scope of works and attendance schedules (where applicable).
- Receive all tender documents and ensure the wider tender team are copied.
- In conjunction with the wider tender team raise tender queries.
- Chase tender returns and update enquiry schedule.
- Develop and assess a risk schedule and an opportunity assessment.
- Develop and fill gaps in tender, compile clarifications and estimator notes.
- Develop a value engineering schedule.
- Complete analysis of tenders and prices as received from supply chain.
- Produce documents for tender settlement and present clear nett costings identifying risks and opportunities.
- Complete tender submission including Form of Tender, Bills of quantities & associated commercial information.
