Junior Building Services QS Skills:
- A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Building Services, or a related discipline (or currently pursuing).
- Strong interest in the Building Services sector (Mechanical and Electrical).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and develop within a professional team.
As a Junior Building Services QS:
- Assist in compiling comprehensive tender packages for various building services projects.
- Issue and manage Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to potential subcontractors and suppliers.
- Proactively chase quotations and follow up with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely responses.
- Assist in the preparation and issuing of tender addendums and clarifications as required.
- Populate and maintain Tender Analysis Templates to support senior QS and commercial teams in decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth tendering processes.
- Support the commercial team in evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes for compliance and competitiveness.
- Attend meetings and site visits as required to gain exposure to project delivery processes.
