The office is based in Dublin and requires candidates to have their own transport due to its location.
The Role Senior Mechanical Estimator
This is a senior pre construction role focused on leading mechanical estimating activities across large scale projects. You will take ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness and commercial awareness throughout.
Working closely with senior management and wider pre construction teams, you will play a key role in securing new work while maintaining high standards in cost planning, risk identification and value engineering.

The Role Senior Mechanical Estimator

Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documentation including drawings, specifications and schedules
- Prepare detailed quantity take offs and develop accurate BOQs
- Manage full tender submissions from enquiry through to final submission
- Source and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify risks, gaps and value engineering opportunities within tenders
- Collaborate with electrical estimators to ensure coordinated submissions
- Present completed estimates to senior management and directors
- Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
- Mentor and support junior estimators within the team
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating procedures and standards
- Strong background in mechanical estimating within a contracting environment
- Proven experience delivering large scale mechanical tenders successfully
- Excellent knowledge of HVAC, pipework, plumbing and building services systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with accuracy
- Highly organised with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
- Experience mentoring junior team members
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently
- Commercially aware with a focus on accuracy and deadlines
