Senior Mechanical Project Engineer Skills:

Senior Mechanical Project Engineer Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 4 years’ experience in mechanical engineering or M&E contracting environment
- Strong technical proficiency in mechanical engineering principles, design tools, and software
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to make decisions under pressure and work to strict deadlines
- Understanding of relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements in mechanical engineering
- Represent the project team at client design and progress meetings, communicating outcomes to stakeholders
- Review design specifications, drawings, and schedules to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards
- Ensure works are installed in accordance with project specifications and client expectations
- Develop engineering solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches, for client approval
- Review coordinated construction drawings and updated design specifications to identify scope or cost variances
- Manage procurement processes, including technical submittals and procurement schedules
- Review specialist supplier packages to ensure compliance with specifications, industry standards, and design intent
- Prepare project-specific commissioning plans and coordinate with quality teams on BCAR preliminary inspection plans
- Support project teams in delivering high-quality mechanical installations, maintaining safety and programme compliance
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical or project-related issues
