The Role – Senior Project Planner
As a Senior Project Planner, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale data centre and pharmaceutical construction projects. You will support project teams by developing, managing and controlling detailed construction programmes while providing clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams and site teams to ensure that programmes are achievable, risks are identified early and project delivery remains on track in terms of time, cost and quality.

The Role – Senior Project Planner
As a Senior Project Planner, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of large-scale data centre and pharmaceutical construction projects. You will support project teams by developing, managing and controlling detailed construction programmes while providing clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams and site teams to ensure that programmes are achievable, risks are identified early and project delivery remains on track in terms of time, cost and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Review contract documentation and ensure all planning and reporting requirements are achieved
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Main Contractors to agree integrated project schedules
- Monitor project progress, labour productivity and performance against programme
- Produce S-curves, histograms and programme reports aligned with commercial data
- Identify risks, delays and constraints, providing solutions and escalation where required
- Lead planning meetings and weekly look-ahead sessions with site teams
- Support tender planning, including programme development and build sequencing
- Mentor and support junior planners within the team
- Maintain and update schedules throughout the project lifecycle
About You
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying or similar, or strong trade background with technical expertise
- 5 years’ experience as a Project Planner or Senior Planner within construction or engineering
- Experience working on data centre, pharmaceutical or large-scale industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Ability to develop and manage complex project schedules from design through to delivery
- Commercial awareness with the ability to link programme performance to cost and productivity
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
