Location: Helsinki, Finland - Rotational Basis

Total Package: €120,000+ (DOE), rotation, return flights and sole accommodation
The Company
This established Irish main contractor has a strong pipeline of large scale construction projects across Europe, with a growing presence in Finland and the wider Nordic region.
For an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career in the European data centre market, this offers the opportunity to join a well established project team in Finland. Rotational arrangements are available for candidates travelling from elsewhere in Europe, alongside the option of being permanently based in Finland.
The Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
This Senior Quantity Surveyor role is based in Finland on a major data centre construction project, with a pipeline of over 8 years' work.
You will take a senior position within the commercial team, managing project costs, procurement and complex subcontract packages while working closely with the Project Director and wider project team.
There will be significant responsibility for client and subcontractor engagement, monthly commercial reporting, valuations, claims and final accounts.
Must Have Requirements
About You
You will be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable taking ownership of major packages and dealing directly with subcontractors, clients and senior project management.
You should have strong commercial judgement, good contractual knowledge and the ability to keep on top of costs, variations and financial reporting on a large construction project.
This would particularly suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor currently based in Ireland, the UK or elsewhere in Europe who wants to move into or continue working within the European data centre market. The structured rotation also makes the position suitable for candidates who want to work in Finland while maintaining regular travel home.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 8+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying within a main contractor or specialist contracting environment
- Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying required
- Proven experience managing subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
- Strong experience in cost control, valuations, claims and commercial reporting
- Must be open to working in Finland on either a rotational or permanent basis
- Data centre construction experience preferred
- Experience on large scale MEP intensive construction projects beneficial
- Previous experience working on European projects advantageous
- Strong client and subcontractor management experience
