The Company
This established Tier 1 Irish main contractor has a strong pipeline of large scale, multi million euro construction projects across Europe, with a growing presence in Sweden and the wider Nordic region.
For an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career in the European construction market, this offers the opportunity to join a well established project team delivering a major multi million euro data centre project in North Sweden. Rotational arrangements are available for candidates travelling from elsewhere in Europe, alongside the option of being permanently based in Sweden.
The Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
This Senior Quantity Surveyor role is based in North Sweden, where you will be working on a major multi million euro data centre project with a long term pipeline of work in the Nordic region.
You will take a senior position within the commercial team, managing project costs, procurement and complex subcontract packages while working closely with the Project Director and wider project team.
There will be significant responsibility for client and subcontractor engagement, monthly commercial reporting, valuations, claims and final accounts.

About You
You will be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who is comfortable taking ownership of major construction packages and dealing directly with subcontractors, clients and senior project management.
You should have strong commercial judgement, good contractual knowledge and the ability to keep on top of costs, variations and financial reporting on a major multi million euro data centre project.
This would particularly suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor currently based in Ireland, the UK or elsewhere in Europe who wants to move into or continue working within the Swedish and wider Nordic construction market. The structured rotation also makes the position suitable for candidates who want to work in North Sweden while maintaining regular travel home.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 8+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying within a main contractor or specialist contracting environment
- Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying required
- Proven experience managing subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
- Strong experience in cost control, valuations, claims and commercial reporting
- Must be open to working in North Sweden on either a rotational or permanent basis
Preferred Experience
- Data centre construction experience preferred
- Experience on large scale building and construction projects beneficial
- Previous experience working on European or Nordic projects advantageous
- Strong client and subcontractor management experience
