The Role
This is a senior-level position with full commercial oversight across multiple projects. You’ll work closely with directors and site teams to manage cost planning, tendering, procurement, and reporting — playing a key role in the success and profitability of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and marine jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost management for civil and marine projects from tender to final account.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract negotiation, and variations.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and valuations.
- Ensure commercial and project targets are achieved through strong cost control.
- Mentor junior QS staff and contribute to the development of commercial systems.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to uphold project standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
- 5+ years’ experience, ideally with a civil engineering or marine contractor.
- Track record managing contracts, budgets, and cost reporting independently.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Irish construction contracts and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple active projects.
- Salary: €80,000 (depending on experience)
