Are you a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor with a drive to lead complex civil and marine works across the West of Ireland? This opportunity offers the chance to join an established and ISO-accredited contractor delivering some of Ireland’s most technically demanding and high-value projects, including quay walls, bridges, flood defences, and heritage site restorations.
You’ll play a pivotal commercial role within a contractor that blends innovation, quality, and sustainability with hands-on leadership and a collaborative culture.

With almost 20 years of specialist experience in marine, civil, conservation, and building works, this family-owned contractor is trusted to deliver safe and sustainable solutions on some of the country’s most high-profile and sensitive engineering jobs.
Operating from a west coast hub, they deliver turnkey infrastructure works across ports, bridges, public realm, coastal defences, and heritage restoration, backed by a fleet of specialised marine plant, ISO-certified systems, and a “relationships-first” delivery model.
Your Role:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll manage commercial strategy and operations across multiple active sites. You'll liaise closely with the Commercial Director and senior teams to ensure financial control, contract compliance, and cost efficiency from tender through to final account.

Your Role:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll manage commercial strategy and operations across multiple active sites. You'll liaise closely with the Commercial Director and senior teams to ensure financial control, contract compliance, and cost efficiency from tender through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial delivery of marine and civil projects from bid through to close-out.
- Manage procurement, valuations, reporting, variations, and commercial risk.
- Support the implementation of digital cost and project control systems (e.g. ABM).
- Mentor junior quantity surveyors and contribute to team development.
- Represent the business in client meetings and support work-winning.
- Ensure adherence to internal standards aligned with ISO Quality, Safety & Environmental systems.
Your Profile:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience managing construction contracts, ideally within marine or civils.
- Deep knowledge of cost planning, tendering, and contract administration.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with Irish construction regulations and public works contracts.
- Self-driven and solutions-focused with a hands-on mindset.
