The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in managing the commercial delivery of major building projects from pre-construction through to completion.
You’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager and project teams to ensure strong financial performance, accurate cost control, and value-driven procurement across all live contracts.

The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in managing the commercial delivery of major building projects from pre-construction through to completion.
You’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager and project teams to ensure strong financial performance, accurate cost control, and value-driven procurement across all live contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage subcontractor packages, procurement, and payment processes.
- Prepare monthly valuations, cost reports, and budget forecasts.
- Monitor project costs and progress, reporting on variations and risks.
- Negotiate and agree subcontractor accounts and contracts.
- Provide contractual and commercial advice at project and company level.
- Identify opportunities to maximise value and reduce costs.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience with a main contractor or developer.
- Proven experience delivering commercial and residential projects of significant scale.
- Excellent analytical, contractual, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ambitious, detail-focused, and driven to deliver results.
