Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies.
- Oversee cost analysis, tender preparation, and bid evaluation.
- Manage interim valuations, variations, and payment applications.
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with legal and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to drive project success.
- Compile Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) at month-end.
- Support Project Directors and Site Managers in delivering efficient, profitable projects.
- Prepare subcontractor contracts, warranties, and ensure timely completion of payments.
- Implement and manage change control processes.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB) preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior QS role within main contracting.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and regulations.
- Proficiency in cost control systems and MS Office (COINS experience desirable).
- Excellent commercial acumen, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
