The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in the financial and commercial management of major construction projects, overseeing cost control, procurement, and reporting from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of all financial and contractual aspects of assigned projects.
- Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, cashflows, and valuations.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and final accounts.
- Oversee monthly valuations, variations, and cost reporting.
- Report directly to the Commercial Manager with regular financial updates.
- Drive cost efficiency and value engineering throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, including PWC and RIAI forms.
- Mentor and develop junior quantity surveyors, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with site teams, engineers, and clients to deliver projects to budget and schedule.
- Contribute to the company’s ongoing commercial improvement initiatives.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years’ post-graduate experience in a main contracting environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven success managing subcontractor accounts.
- Excellent knowledge of PWC and RIAI contracts.
- Proficient in Excel, Cubit, and cost management software.
- Analytical, detail-focused, and driven to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
