An established Irish Main Contractor is looking to for a Setting Out Engineer for a flagship €30m government building refurbishment and extension project in Co. Laois. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with solid setting-out expertise to join a well-respected contractor on a high-profile public project. Responsibilities:
- Carry out precise setting out and surveying of works using Total Station, GPS, and other instrumentation.
- Liaise closely with the Senior Engineer, Site Manager, and subcontractors to ensure site works progress according to programme and specifications.
- Maintain and record all site measurements, records, and as-built drawings.
- Monitor site levels and coordinate with design drawings to avoid discrepancies.
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a setting-out role, on commercial or public sector projects in Ireland.
- Proficient in using setting-out equipment including GPS and Total Station.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret drawings and technical documents.
