The Company
This Irish main contractor works across a broad range of sectors including residential, healthcare, education, public sector, tourism and leisure, and commercial construction.
They deliver projects across Ireland and are now looking for an experienced Site Manager to work on a leisure and heritage development in County Mayo, where conservation, restoration and quality finishing works will form an important part of the project.
The Role: Site Manager
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day to day management of works on this leisure and heritage project in County Mayo.
The role will have a strong focus on conservation, restoration and finishing works, coordinating specialist subcontractors and trades while maintaining the required quality standards. A Site Manager with a strong finishing background could suit the position, particularly someone comfortable managing detailed works where workmanship and attention to existing structures are important.

About You
You will be an experienced Site Manager or Finishing Manager with a strong eye for quality and detailed finishes. A background in conservation, heritage or restoration would be particularly relevant, although a strong finishing background on high quality construction or refurbishment projects could also work well.
You should be comfortable managing specialist trades, resolving site issues and maintaining programme while ensuring sensitive and detailed works are completed correctly.

- Must have proven Site Manager or Finishing Manager experience on building projects
- Strong finishing, refurbishment, restoration or conservation experience required
- Must be confident coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades on site
- Proven experience delivering works safely, to programme and to a high standard of finish
Preferred Experience
- Heritage or conservation project experience preferred
- Experience managing refurbishment or technically detailed finishing packages beneficial
- Main contractor experience in Ireland would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day site operations and programme delivery
- Coordinate specialist subcontractors, trades and finishing works
- Oversee conservation and restoration works in line with project requirements
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control and finishes
- Manage snagging, inspections and close out of completed works
- Ensure health and safety procedures are maintained across the site
- Coordinate materials, labour and site logistics
- Liaise with the Project Manager, design team and specialist consultants
- Maintain accurate site records and progress reporting
