The Role – Building Services Engineer
As Building Services Engineer, you will support the management and coordination of mechanical and electrical services across high density residential projects in Cork. Reporting to the Building Services Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring M and E systems are delivered to the highest standards from initial coordination through to commissioning and handover.
You will work closely with site management teams, design consultants and MEP subcontractors to maintain programme, quality and safety targets, ensuring building services integration aligns with structural and architectural elements.
Key Responsibilities
Salary: €65,000 to €70,000 depending on experience plus package

The Role – Building Services Engineer
As Building Services Engineer, you will support the management and coordination of mechanical and electrical services across high density residential projects in Cork. You will work closely with site management teams, design consultants and MEP subcontractors to maintain programme, quality and safety targets, ensuring building services integration aligns with structural and architectural elements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the installation quality of mechanical and electrical systems on residential developments
- Coordinate MEP services from pre construction stage through to commissioning and handover
- Support site teams with technical problem solving relating to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and public utility services
- Oversee M and E subcontractors ensuring adherence to programme, safety and quality standards
- Liaise with utility providers and local authorities for electricity, gas, water, telecoms and public lighting connections
- Manage temporary site services including temporary power and water supplies
- Assist in value engineering and the implementation of energy efficient building services solutions
- Ensure all testing, commissioning and certification documentation is completed and compliant
- Degree or further education qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Minimum 4 years post qualification experience in a building services or MEP coordination role within residential or mixed use construction
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in high density residential projects
- Experience managing MEP subcontractors and coordinating with design teams
- Knowledge of energy management, sustainable design and emerging building services technologies
- Highly organised with strong problem solving ability and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across site and design teams
- Focused on delivering quality work to strict programme deadlines
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel across Cork projects
