The Role?
As Commercial Manager, you will take full ownership of the commercial function across multiple large-scale projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and strategic cost control. You will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff, fostering collaboration to mitigate risks and drive best value for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide commercial leadership across multiple multi-million-euro projects in Leinster.
- Lead, support, and develop a high-performing team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to contract terms, risk management, and compliance procedures.
- Oversee pre-qualification, tendering, procurement, and commercial handover from Pre-Construction.
- Conduct regular cost reviews, ensuring projects meet or exceed financial targets.
- Approve payment certificates, valuations, subcontract agreements, and final accounts.
- Manage project risk registers, insurance, bonds, warranties, and other commercial documentation.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on project performance and financial forecasts.
- Champion health, safety, and quality in all commercial activities.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager delivering projects €10m+.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth understanding of construction methodologies and project financials.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
- Commercially astute, detail-driven, and able to work autonomously.
- Basic Salary: €120,000 (D.O.E)
