The Role: Contracts Manager
This Contracts Manager position is based in Co Mayo and involves overseeing a portfolio of engineering and infrastructure projects from contract award through to completion.
Reporting to senior management, you will have responsibility for project delivery, commercial performance, resource planning and operational management across multiple contracts.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the commercial team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget, while maintaining strong client relationships and consistent delivery standards.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will manage Project Managers, Site Managers and Supervisors, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
You will have responsibility for operational performance, commercial management, resource planning and client relationships, working closely with the commercial team and senior management to ensure successful delivery across multiple contracts.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in electrical contracting, utilities or civil engineering, ideally with experience overseeing multiple infrastructure projects across Ireland.
You will have a sound understanding of contract management, commercial reporting, programme delivery and subcontractor coordination, along with the ability to manage project teams across different locations.
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, particularly when dealing with Project Managers, clients, local authorities and senior management.
You will be commercially aware, organised and comfortable taking responsibility for project performance while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

- Minimum 7 to 10 years' experience managing electrical, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects or contracts simultaneously.
- Strong commercial and contractual management experience, including budgets, variations and project reporting.
- Experience leading Project Managers, Supervisors and operational teams.
- Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, including a suitable trade qualification.
- Experience delivering public lighting, utilities, renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of public sector contracts and framework agreements.
- Experience working with local authorities, utility providers and specialist subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of project planning, resource allocation and commercial reporting.
- Oversee the delivery of multiple electrical, utilities and civil engineering contracts from award through to completion.
- Manage Project Managers, Site Managers and Supervisors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, resources and operational performance across all assigned contracts.
- Work closely with the commercial team on cost control, valuations, variations, forecasting and final accounts.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, consultants and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, environmental requirements and company procedures.
- Chair project review meetings and provide regular performance updates to the Managing Director.
- Identify contractual, commercial and operational risks and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Coordinate electrical and civil engineering teams to ensure efficient programme delivery.
- Oversee quality control, project documentation, snagging, handover and commercial close-out.
- Support the development of Project Managers and operational staff through regular reviews and mentoring.
- Drive improvements in project reporting, planning systems and overall contract performance.
