I’m looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing team delivering renewable energy and HV/MV substation and cable projects across Ireland based in Co Kildare. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to high-profile energy projects while also continuing to develop professionally.
You’ll play a key part in the design and delivery of HV/MV substations, control and protection systems, and associated infrastructure. Electrical Design Engineer Skills:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Ideally 1+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer.
- Strong technical abilities with good teamwork skills and initiative.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Strong written, verbal, and numerical skills.
As an Electrical Design Engineer Skills:
- Design HV/MV substations and control/protection systems.
- Prepare drawings including SLDs, layouts, and schematics.
- Carry out detailed design across all aspects of high and low voltage equipment, including control and protection systems.
- Develop and interpret technical specifications and enquiry documentation.
- Ensure compliance with design standards and client requirements.
- Work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of technical and contract documentation.
- Monitor progress against programme and report on performance.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
- Provide accurate setting out and dimensional control.
- Resolve technical challenges at all levels.
