Electrical Design Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to take a leading role in delivering high-quality, client-focused building services projects based out of Co Monaghan. This role suits someone who enjoys working closely with clients, mentoring others, and managing projects from concept right through to commissioning, ensuring everything is delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

You’ll be joining a team that values collaboration, initiative, and innovation. We’re big on sustainable engineering, new design techniques, and BIM integration, so this would really suit someone who wants to push things forward rather than just tick boxes.

Electrical Design Engineer Skills:

• A degree in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering — or at least 8 years of relevant design experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
• Proven experience leading projects and managing teams across multiple sectors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional presentation and strong organisational ability.
• Current membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional body.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and design calculation software.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to transport.

As an Electrical Design Engineer:

• Lead the design and project delivery of mechanical and/or electrical building services across a range of sectors.
• Oversee projects from early planning and design stages through to commissioning and handover.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a top-quality, client-focused service.
• Manage and coordinate teams, supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
• Contribute to innovation in sustainable design, building performance, and digital workflows.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality standards.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €75,000 plus package to and more.
