As an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will be based out of your new company’s head office in Cork, taking on a full-time, permanent role that places you at the centre of their ongoing growth and the successful delivery of new projects.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage the electrical design function while playing a key role in the successful delivery of projects across regulated sectors. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and site personnel to ensure all electrical elements are delivered efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards.
This is a particularly good fit for someone with strong electrical design experience—ideally from Pharma or Life Sciences—who is interested in becoming more involved in project execution from a contractor’s perspective, while still maintaining a strong design focus.

As an Electrical Engineer:
- Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, with a strong preference for candidates who’ve worked in regulated environments like Pharma or Life Sciences.
- Confidence with electrical design software and Microsoft Office.
- Practical knowledge from an electrical trade background is a big advantage.
- Experience with Revit is a bonus but not essential.
Electrical Engineer Skills:
- Leading all aspects of electrical design—setting the technical direction and ensuring projects meet both performance and compliance standards.
- Becoming a key decision-maker on projects, collaborating directly with clients, suppliers, and site personnel to keep everything on track.
- Overseeing the preparation and review of electrical deliverables, including cable sizing, single-line diagrams, distribution board layouts, containment strategies, lighting schemes, and load assessments.
- Reviewing and approving electrical installations to ensure compliance with both client requirements and local regulations.
- Working closely with commercial teams to align budgets and schedules with project objectives.
- Taking control of project documentation and ensuring accurate, timely information flows to the teams that need it.
- Tracking project milestones and providing clear, regular progress updates.
The Package:
Salary of at least €65,000 (DOE) + package
