We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer with strong HVAC experience to join a busy service team in Dublin.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and commissioning services on a wide range of HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration and climate control systems across commercial, industrial and residential sites. This field-based role will see you working autonomously and as part of a team, responding to service requests, breakdowns, planned maintenance and client support needs. You will engage directly with clients, site teams and subcontractors to ensure systems operate efficiently, reliably and in line with specification and safety requirements.

Field Service Engineer Skills:
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer or Field Technician in HVAC and ventilation systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
- Experience with installation, maintenance, repair and commissioning of HVAC, air handling units, heat pumps, chillers, and associated control systems.
- Good understanding of building services, refrigeration principles, pneumatics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills when engaging with clients, site contacts and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency with tools, testing equipment and diagnostic software used in HVAC servicing.
- Valid full driving licence required and willingness to travel to client sites across assigned regions.
- Flexibility with working hours to respond to planned maintenance and emergency call-outs.
- Respond to service requests and breakdown calls for HVAC and building services systems on client sites.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults; carry out effective corrective repairs and adjustments.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and environmental control systems.
- Commission new HVAC installations and support handover to clients.
- Work with site teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure safe, reliable system performance.
- Record all service activities accurately in field reports, maintaining up-to-date service logs and test results.
- Operate with a strong focus on health, safety, quality and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Advise clients on system performance, recommended servicing plans, and options for system improvement.
- Manage parts and equipment usage efficiently, highlighting any requirements to procurement or operations teams.
- Support senior engineers or supervisors in larger or more complex service tasks.
