The Role – General Foreperson
As General Foreperson, you’ll take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, managing trades, subcontractors, and direct labour to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of works.
You’ll play a key leadership role within the site team overseeing logistics, lifting operations, and coordination, while maintaining excellent standards of safety, quality, and communication.

The Role – General Foreperson
As General Foreperson, you’ll take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, managing trades, subcontractors, and direct labour to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of works.
You’ll play a key leadership role within the site team overseeing logistics, lifting operations, and coordination, while maintaining excellent standards of safety, quality, and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all site operations on a €20m+ residential development.
- Plan and manage lifting operations, logistics, and plant movement to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and direct labour to meet project milestones.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, resolving issues proactively.
- Monitor quality and ensure works are delivered to the required standards.
- Conduct daily site meetings and report progress to the Project Manager.
- Lead by example on site safety, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Support the finishing and handover phases to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a positive, high-performing site culture.
About You
- Minimum 6 years’ experience as a General Foreperson or Site Foreperson.
- Proven track record on residential or mixed-use projects.
- Strong background in lifting operations and logistics management.
- Experience in timber frame construction advantageous.
- Trade qualification or construction management background preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and programme management.
