The Role – Foreman / Construction Manager
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Foreman / Construction Manager to oversee civil works projects in Germany, ensuring that site operations are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
You will be responsible for managing labour, plant, and subcontractors on site, liaising closely with the Project Manager and client representatives, and driving productivity and performance across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily site operations, including labour, plant, and materials coordination.
- Lead and manage site teams and subcontractors to deliver works safely and efficiently.
- Maintain strong communication with Project Management, clients, and engineering teams.
- Ensure all works meet design, QA/QC, and health & safety standards.
- Monitor progress, prepare daily/weekly reports, and identify potential risks or delays.
- Uphold company safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
- Attend client and project meetings, providing accurate updates on progress and issues.
- Proactively resolve site challenges to maintain programme and budget targets.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or construction management role within civil engineering.
- Background in renewables, energy infrastructure, or heavy civil projects preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing diverse, multinational site teams.
- Proven ability to liaise with clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Working knowledge of QA/QC procedures, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Competent in interpreting technical drawings and construction documentation.
- Willingness to work abroad (Germany) with travel as required.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
- Experience leading international or multi-national workforces.
- Background in renewable energy infrastructure (solar, wind, or grid connection).
- Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven with strong decision-making ability.
