Based on a major residential development in North Dublin, this role offers long-term stability, excellent support from senior management, and genuine opportunities for career progression within a growing business.

The Role: Health & Safety Advisor

As the Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving health and safety standards on a large residential development in North Dublin, Co Dublin. Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers, and subcontractors, you will ensure the project is delivered safely while promoting a positive safety culture across the site.

This is a hands-on position where you'll be visible on site, carrying out inspections, providing guidance to site teams, and ensuring compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and company procedures.

Must Have Requirements:

•  Must have relevant Health & Safety qualifications such as a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
•  Proven experience required as a Health & Safety Advisor on Irish construction projects.
•  Experience with a main contractor in Ireland is required.
•  Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction site compliance.

Preferred Experience:

•  Residential construction experience preferred.
•  Experience carrying out audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
•  Strong communication and report writing skills.

Nice to Have

•  IOSH membership or progress towards IOSH certification.
•  Manual Handling Instructor or Train the Trainer qualifications.
•  Experience using digital safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Carry out regular site inspections and audits across the residential development.
•  Ensure compliance with company procedures and Irish Health & Safety legislation.
•  Prepare reports, safety documentation, and audit findings.
•  Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
•  Support site management in maintaining a safe working environment.
•  Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions.
•  Monitor subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.
•  Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
•  Liaise with senior management and external stakeholders where required.

About You:

You will have experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor on construction projects for an Irish main contractor and be confident working within a live residential construction environment. You are organised, approachable, and capable of building positive working relationships with site teams while maintaining high standards of compliance.

You take a practical approach to health and safety, communicate effectively at all levels, and are committed to ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
