The Role, Intermediate Sustainability Engineer
As an Intermediate Sustainability Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering building energy performance and sustainability solutions across a range of projects. You will be involved from early design stages through to completion, ensuring that projects meet regulatory requirements while achieving high standards in energy efficiency and environmental performance.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key elements of project delivery, contribute to sustainability strategies and engage directly with clients and design teams. You will work closely with senior engineers while also mentoring more junior team members, helping to drive quality and consistency across all outputs.

The Role, Intermediate Sustainability Engineer
As an Intermediate Sustainability Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering building energy performance and sustainability solutions across a range of projects. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Building Energy Ratings across residential, commercial and mixed use developments
- Carry out detailed energy modelling and performance analysis to support design decisions
- Develop and contribute to sustainability strategies focused on energy efficiency and carbon reduction
- Prepare technical reports, compliance documentation and client deliverables
- Coordinate with architects, engineers and project teams to integrate sustainability into design
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, providing clear technical guidance and updates
- Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations and relevant sustainability standards
- Support junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge and best practice
- Degree qualified in building services engineering, sustainability, energy or a related discipline
- 3 plus years experience in sustainability engineering or building energy performance
- Strong experience in BER assessments and energy modelling tools
- Proven ability to work across residential, commercial or mixed use projects
- Good understanding of Irish building regulations and energy compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills with confidence in client interaction
- Organised and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Ambitious and motivated to progress within a consultancy environment
