The Role – Mechanical Estimator
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, supporting the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for mechanical services. You will work across a range of high-spec projects including pharma facilities, data centres and industrial developments.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your commercial and technical expertise while working closely with senior management, clients and project delivery teams to ensure successful tender outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Salary: €60,000 – €75,000 (DOE)

The Role – Mechanical Estimator
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, supporting the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for mechanical services. You will work across a range of high-spec projects including pharma facilities, data centres and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical services including HVAC, plumbing and process systems
- Review drawings, specifications and project scope to identify cost-effective solutions
- Prepare subcontractor and supplier enquiries and evaluate returned quotations
- Contribute to the development of preliminary costings aligned with programme and engineering requirements
- Support the preparation and presentation of tender submissions for internal approval
- Assist in compiling commercial tender documentation for client submission
- Review contract documentation post-award to ensure alignment with tender submissions
- Support the commercial handover process to project delivery teams
- Attend site visits and client meetings as required
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to review tenders and improve estimating processes
- Background in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related trade
- 3 years’ experience in a Mechanical Estimator role or similar position within M&E contracting
- Strong understanding of the construction tendering process and commercial principles
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, equipment and subcontractor management
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Office suite
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Analytical thinker with strong negotiation and problem-solving ability
Salary: €60,000 – €75,000 (DOE)
