We are seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer to join a busy Service & Repair team covering municipal and industrial water treatment assets across the Leinster region based out of Co Kildare.
This role offers a highly varied workload across wastewater treatment plants, drinking water facilities and pumping stations, providing strong technical exposure and long-term development for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for maintaining mechanical process equipment, pumping systems, and associated instrumentation across a wide portfolio of sites. Working closely with the Service Manager and Area Supervisor, you will plan maintenance tasks, respond to equipment issues, and ensure that all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving, and working across multiple sites as part of a growing technical services team.

Mechanical Service Engineer Skills:
Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of €55,000–€65,000 plus package, including company vehicle, laptop, phone, and further benefits.

Mechanical Service Engineer Skills:
- Knowledge of water pumping systems, mechanical process equipment, generators, compressors, pipework installation and pressure/flow instrumentation.
- Experience in stainless steel or plastic welding is an advantage.
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults using analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong commitment to safe working practices and compliance with legislation.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel within the region.
- Full EU/Irish driving licence.
- Provide mechanical maintenance and support across multiple water and wastewater treatment sites.
- Carry out repairs, equipment checks, and preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, drives, and related systems.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with approved procedures.
- Use a mobile CMMS system to record work, update documentation and maintain accurate service records.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with the Service Manager and Area Supervisor.
- Respond to equipment faults, identify root causes, and carry out corrective repairs.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
