An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of major MEICA projects across the West and North West of Ireland. This role will see you managing the full lifecycle of projects, from tender stage through to commissioning and handover, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
Working closely with the Project Management and Site Teams, you’ll play a key role in coordinating operations, driving progress, and ensuring seamless delivery across multiple contracts. Contracts Manager Skills:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent trade qualification.
- Proven experience in a similar contracts management role, at least 5 years.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams within a project environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and solutions-driven mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC applications.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical design, with the ability to interpret and review technical specifications.
- Experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry is a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Committed to maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety.
- Motivated, proactive, and eager to take on new challenges.
- Lead the delivery of MEICA contracts across the West of Ireland, overseeing both new and ongoing projects.
- Manage the design, installation, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment systems, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and ICA elements.
- Review tender submissions and develop detailed delivery plans following contract award.
- Allocate projects to the appropriate Project Managers and support a smooth handover from the tendering phase to project delivery.
- Drive innovation by incorporating efficient design and off-site manufacturing solutions.
- Mentor and support engineers and project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Oversee commercial aspects of each contract, including procurement, subcontractor management, and client negotiations.
- Track project progress and ensure key milestones are achieved on time.
- Lead regular contract review meetings and ensure monthly invoicing targets are met.
- Prepare and maintain project programmes, ensuring all design, construction, and commissioning interfaces are coordinated.
- Liaise closely with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and effective communication.
- Manage site labour and subcontractors, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
- Prepare technical documentation including reports, method statements, and commissioning plans.
- Maintain a culture of health, safety, and quality compliance throughout project delivery.
- Contribute to business development and strategic growth discussions within the Contracts team.
