The Role – MEP Design Manager
As MEP Design Manager, you will take full ownership of mechanical and electrical design delivery on a large-scale data centre project in Stuttgart. You will lead the coordination of all MEP design elements from early stage through to construction and handover, ensuring alignment with programme, quality standards and client expectations.
You will act as the key link between the design teams, subcontractors and site delivery teams, ensuring that all MEP design information is fully coordinated, buildable and delivered on time.

Salary: €90,000 – €110,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead MEP design coordination across mechanical and electrical systems on a major data centre project
- Manage design deliverables in line with construction programme and client requirements
- Coordinate design activities between consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
- Chair and lead design meetings with clients and key stakeholders
- Oversee design quality, compliance and implementation of design changes
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings and technical submittals
- Support BIM coordination and clash resolution processes
- Ensure smooth handover of design packages to site delivery teams
- Monitor design progress and report on weekly and monthly milestones
- Carry out site visits to ensure design intent is achieved during construction
- Manage as-built documentation and final design records
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
- Proven experience as an MEP Design Manager or Senior Design Engineer on large-scale construction projects
- Strong background in data centres or mission critical environments
- Excellent understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution and building services
- Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants
- Strong knowledge of BIM processes and coordinated design delivery
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage design within programme constraints
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a proactive approach
