Job title: MEP Lead – Data Centre
Location: Sines, Portugal
Company: International Data Centre Contractor
Package: €140,000 to €150,000 DOE + European package
The Company
This international contractor delivers major turnkey data centre projects across Europe, covering design, construction, MEP installation and commissioning.
They are looking for an experienced MEP Lead to take responsibility for mechanical and electrical delivery on a major data centre project in Sines, Portugal.
The Role: MEP Lead
You will lead MEP delivery across design, construction, commissioning and handover, managing engineers, supervisors and specialist subcontractors.
Working closely with the client, consultants and senior project team, you will drive technical coordination, programme delivery, quality and commissioning readiness across all MEP packages.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced MEP Lead with a strong mechanical or electrical background and the leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams on complex data centre projects. You will be comfortable dealing directly with clients, consultants and senior project management while driving MEP delivery to programme.

Must Have Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience on large-scale construction or data centre projects.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary MEP teams.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP design, installation and commissioning.
- Data centre or mission-critical project experience strongly preferred.
- European project delivery experience beneficial
- Lead MEP delivery across design, construction and commissioning.
- Manage MEP engineers, supervisors and specialist subcontractors.
- Review designs, technical submittals and method statements.
- Coordinate MEP works with the overall construction programme.
- Resolve technical, design and construction issues affecting delivery.
- Drive quality and commissioning readiness through to final handover.
