Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a commercial construction project in Kerry, Co Kerry. The Role: Project Manager
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a commercial construction project in Kerry, Co Kerry, from early site operations through to completion and handover. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will lead the site management team, coordinate subcontractors, manage programme delivery, and ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction are maintained throughout the project.
This role will suit an experienced Project Manager with a background delivering commercial building projects for an Irish main contractor.
Must Have Requirements:
• Must have 7+ years' experience in a Project Manager role with an Irish main contractor.
• Proven experience required delivering commercial construction projects from start to completion.
• Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and construction contracts.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience delivering healthcare, education, or mixed-use developments.
• Procore, BIM 360, or similar construction management software experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
Nice to Have:
• Chartered status or membership of a recognised professional body.
• Temporary Works or additional project management qualifications.
• First Aid and Safe Pass certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the project team to deliver the commercial project safely, on time, and within budget.
• Manage site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and direct labour.
• Develop and maintain the construction programme, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Coordinate with the design team, consultants, and client representatives.
• Ensure all works comply with quality standards, specifications, and building regulations.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and commercial performance alongside the Quantity Surveyor.
• Drive Health & Safety standards and promote a positive safety culture across the site.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management and attend project meetings.
• Manage project handover, commissioning, and close-out documentation.
About You
You are an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering commercial construction projects for a main contractor in Ireland. You are confident leading site teams, building strong client relationships, and driving projects to successful completion. You have excellent communication skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
