The Company

Our client is a leading Irish civil and environmental engineering contractor, delivering some of the country’s most complex infrastructure projects across transport, energy, and large-scale civils.

Renowned for engineering excellence, safety, and sustainability, they manage the full project lifecycle from design and build through to commissioning and handover.

They’re currently delivering a major infrastructure project in Cork, one of the most significant civil engineering schemes underway in Ireland, offering a dynamic environment for ambitious professionals to thrive.


The Role – Project Manager

As Project Manager, you’ll lead a major infrastructure project in Cork, overseeing design, delivery, and commercial performance from pre-construction to completion.

You’ll manage multi-disciplinary civil, mechanical, and electrical teams, ensuring the project meets all programme, quality, and safety objectives while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of a major civil infrastructure project, from planning through to handover.

  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including design, site, and subcontractor staff.

  • Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation.

  • Provide technical and commercial leadership across civil, M&E, and ICA disciplines.

  • Maintain close client and stakeholder relationships to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.

  • Drive innovation, cost efficiency, and technical excellence in project delivery.

  • Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of collaboration and professional growth.


About You
  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in civil or infrastructure project delivery.

  • Proven track record managing large-scale or design-and-build contracts.

  • Strong technical understanding of civil works, utilities, and M&E integration.

  • Excellent commercial acumen and leadership capability.

  • Organised, proactive, and results-driven.

  • Strong communication and client management skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Office Suite.

  • Chartered Engineer status desirable but not essential.

  • Full clean driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
