The Company
This established Irish main contractor has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality education, healthcare, residential and commercial developments throughout Ireland. With a strong pipeline of public and private sector projects, they are recognised for delivering technically challenging schemes safely, on programme and to the highest standards.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major new school development in North Dublin. This is a flagship education project with a well-resourced site team and excellent long-term career prospects.
The Role: Project Manager
As Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of this large-scale school project in North Dublin. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will oversee programme delivery, quality, commercial performance and health and safety while managing the site management team, subcontractors and client representatives throughout the construction programme.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong experience delivering large building projects for an Irish main contractor.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong experience delivering large building projects for an Irish main contractor.
Must Have Requirements
- Must have 8 years' experience in a Project Manager role with an Irish main contractor.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale building projects from commencement through to handover.
- Experience managing programme delivery, subcontractor coordination and client relationships is required.
- Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, health and safety legislation and quality standards.
- Relevant construction qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience delivering education or public sector projects.
- Experience using Procore, BIM 360, Aconex or similar project management software.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience working alongside Quantity Surveyors.
Nice to Have
- Chartered status or professional membership.
- First Aid and Safe Pass certification.
- Temporary Works or BCAR experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of the project from site mobilisation through to practical completion.
- Manage Site Managers, Engineers and the wider project team.
- Ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Coordinate subcontractors and monitor progress against programme milestones.
- Chair site meetings with clients, consultants and design teams.
- Drive quality assurance procedures and oversee inspection and testing requirements.
- Monitor project risks and implement solutions to maintain programme delivery.
- Work closely with the commercial team to manage costs, variations and procurement.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
