The Role QA/QC Engineer
As QA/QC Engineer, you will take full ownership of quality assurance and quality control across both workshop fabrication and site installation activities. This is a key role ensuring all mechanical works meet project specifications, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
You will lead the quality function, working closely with fabrication teams, site engineers, subcontractors and clients to maintain high standards, reduce rework and drive continuous improvement across all projects.

Salary: €60,000 (DOE)

The Role QA/QC Engineer
As QA/QC Engineer, you will take full ownership of quality assurance and quality control across both workshop fabrication and site installation activities. This is a key role ensuring all mechanical works meet project specifications, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
You will lead the quality function, working closely with fabrication teams, site engineers, subcontractors and clients to maintain high standards, reduce rework and drive continuous improvement across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and implement Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and project-specific documentation
- Ensure full compliance with drawings, specifications, codes and client requirements
- Manage QA/QC processes within fabrication workshop and site environments
- Carry out inspections at key stages including material receipt, fabrication and installation
- Maintain accurate quality records including NCRs, inspections, test results and certifications
- Coordinate third-party inspections and NDT activities
- Review welding documentation and ensure compliance with RWC requirements
- Conduct site visits to monitor installation quality and adherence to procedures
- Lead quality audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support project teams during handover, walkdowns and snagging processes
- Liaise with clients, inspectors and internal teams on all quality-related matters
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Quality or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years experience in QA/QC or quality engineering within mechanical, piping or fabrication projects
- Strong understanding of piping systems, isometrics and P&IDs
- Experience with ITPs, Quality Plans and project specifications
- Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO45001 and EN 1090 standards
- Experience managing welding documentation and inspection processes
- Additional inspection certifications such as coatings or painting are advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across workshop and site teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
