The Role – QAQC Lead

As QAQC Lead, you will take full ownership of quality across a major data centre project in Sines. This is a senior site based position where you will drive the project quality strategy, ensuring all works meet strict specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.

You will act as the key quality representative on site, working closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and client teams. Your leadership will be critical in embedding a right first time culture and ensuring seamless handover of a high performing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the Project Quality Management System across CSA and MEP packages
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of QAQC Engineers on site
• Oversee ITPs, inspections, testing processes, and all quality documentation
• Manage NCRs, drive corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement
• Coordinate with subcontractors, construction teams, and client representatives
• Ensure quality dossiers and handover documentation are completed to a high standard
• Support internal and external audits while maintaining compliance
• Promote a strong quality culture aligned with project delivery targets

About You

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
• Minimum 8 years QAQC experience on large scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of both CSA and MEP systems
• Experience within data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission critical environments is highly desirable
• Proven leadership ability managing site based quality teams
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills
• Detail focused with a commitment to delivering high quality work on programme
