The Company
An established mechanical building services contractor with a strong track record delivering technically demanding projects across Ireland and Europe.
The company works across data centre, pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial and industrial projects, delivering mechanical services packages for major construction projects. With a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team in Dublin.
The Role: Quantity Surveyor
This Quantity Surveyor role is based in Dublin, Co Dublin and will involve the commercial management of mechanical building services packages from procurement through to final account.
Working alongside the commercial and project teams, you will manage costs, subcontractor accounts, valuations and variations while maintaining strong commercial control throughout project delivery.
Must Have Requirements
You will have Quantity Surveying experience within the Irish construction market, ideally gained with a mechanical contractor, M&E contractor, main contractor or specialist subcontractor.
You will be commercially aware and comfortable dealing with subcontractors, suppliers and project teams. A good understanding of mechanical building services would be particularly useful, including HVAC, pipework and associated services.
You should be organised, comfortable managing several commercial priorities and capable of maintaining strong cost control while projects are progressing on site.

- Relevant Quantity Surveying or construction related qualification required
- Proven experience required across valuations, variations, procurement and cost reporting
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge required
- Mechanical or M&E Quantity Surveying experience preferred
- Experience with HVAC, pipework, plumbing or mechanical services packages beneficial
- Data centre, pharmaceutical, healthcare or commercial project experience advantageous
- Contractor or specialist subcontractor experience beneficial
- Manage the commercial performance of mechanical building services packages
- Prepare project cost reports, forecasts and financial updates
- Manage subcontractor procurement and tender analysis
- Prepare interim valuations and payment applications
- Assess and manage subcontractor accounts and payments
- Identify, price and manage variations
- Monitor project expenditure against budgets
- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams on commercial matters
- Maintain accurate contractual and commercial records
- Manage commercial risks and identify potential cost opportunities
- Prepare and negotiate final accounts
- Support the wider commercial team across ongoing projects
